Under Cancer calamitous war:
Shortly afterwards a new King will be anointed,
One who for a long time will pacify the earth.

Van Berkel categorizes this quatrain as a horary chart quatrain.
The first and second line. The "scepter" is another name for Jupiter. The first two lines indicate a Mars-Jupiter conjunction in Cancer.
In the imagination period (October 16, 1524 - February 27, 1554), this conjunction occurred only once: on August 11, 1539.
The fulfilment date of this quatrain is September 13, 2701.

Mars & le sceptre se trouuera conioinct,
Dessoubs Cancer calamiteuse guerre:
Vn peu apres sera nouueau Roy oingt,

Translation (Wöllner, 1926)
Mars und Jupiter befindet sich in Konjunktion
im Krebs, wenn der unheilvolle Krieg.
Ein wenig später wird der neue König gesalbt,
der lange Zeit hindurch der Erde Frieden bringt.

Wöllner interprets the first two lines as a reference to a Mars-Jupiter conjunction on June 21, 2002 (Julian calendar), with Mars on 24 Cancer and Jupiter on 23 Cancer. He also sees a connection with quatrain 10-72.[1]
